Join to apply for the Lead Hoist Mechanic role at McNab.
Based out of our Yatala workshop, this role suits candidates from Brisbane or the Gold Coast who are open to travel across SEQ.
Responsibilities
- Carry out and monitor hoist motor performance, completing maintenance tasks to keep equipment running at its best.
- Stay on top of scheduled servicing to ensure all maintenance is completed on time and to standard.
- Lead and guide Hoist Mechanics and Trade Assistants, with a focus on building capability and delivering quality results.
- Assist the hoist rigging team on installations and dismantles as required, with training provided.
What we are looking for
- Trade-qualified electrician or electrical fitter/mechanic (or equivalent).
- Hold a High-Risk Work Licence – Class HP for personnel and materials hoists (ideal not essential).
- Completion of CPCCLHS3001 – Licence to Operate a Personnel and Materials Hoist (ideal not essential).
- Previous experience servicing or operating cranes and hoists is highly desirable; a mechanical/engineering trades background is acceptable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and resilience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
