About Norton Gold Fields
Norton Gold Fields is one of Australia's largest domestic gold producers, producing up to 200,000 ounces annually. Operations are based in the world-class Kalgoorlie Goldfields region and include the 3.8Mtpa Paddington Mill and a highly prospective tenement package exceeding 1,000km2.
This role is based at Federal, one of Norton's key open pit operations, supporting ongoing mining activities within the Paddington Operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete project work as directed by the Senior Underground Geologist
* Supervise, mentor and support junior geology staff
* Ensure accurate collection and reporting of geological data
* Undertake grade control and resource definition sampling
* Monitor and report daily ore production data
* Assist with weekly and monthly development and production forecasts
* Complete end-of-month reconciliation and reporting
* Conduct accurate wall and backs mapping
* Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Geology or related discipline
* Minimum 3 years underground mining experience
* WA Manual Driver's License
* Ability to mentor junior geologists and supervise small teams
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office, Datashed, MPX, LogChief and Surpac
* Ability to work independently and build positive working relationships
Additional Benefits
* $12,000 residential allowance (for Kalgoorlie-Boulder residents)
* $4,800 site allowance
* Up to 10% STIP bonus

* Pro-rata long service leave after 5 years and 13 weeks after 10 years
