Reporting to the Commercial Manager, an exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Contracts Administrator to join the Oaky Creek Coal team on an 18-month fixed term basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Identifying, assessing, and engaging reliable suppliers to meet business requirements.
* Managing the end-to-end sourcing process, including drafting contracts, issuing requests for tender, conducting tender evaluations, and undertaking contract negotiations.
* Drafting and obtaining approval for contract proposals that capture supplier offers and negotiated terms and demonstrate alignment with business objectives.
* Monitoring supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
* Drafting professional contractual correspondence to ensure effective communication with vendors and stakeholders.
* Conducting market research and analysing industry trends to support strategic sourcing decisions.
* Driving cost savings and process improvements while maintaining strong stakeholder and supplier relationships.
You will have:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within mining or heavy industry.
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (logistics, law, engineering) is desirable but not essential.
* The ability to practice and promote safe work behaviours.
* Positive visible leadership and an ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* A high level of attention to detail and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
