Salary and Benefits
Base salary: $140,293 – $161,518 + 17% superannuation (Academic Level C). Position is part‑time (30%) and permanent.
Location: Herston Campus, Brisbane, Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, delivery and continuous enhancement of evidence‑based student selection processes—including curriculum and assessment components, training and coordination of mini‑multiple interviews, and development of high‑quality selection stations.
- Provide academic advice to prospective applicants and manage engagement, leadership and quality assurance across admissions and outreach.
- Advance evidence‑informed medical education through research and scholarship of learning and teaching, applying best‑practice research to curriculum design and contributing to teaching improvement projects.
- Provide high‑quality research supervision and model exemplary research practice.
- Model UQ values through professional conduct, inclusive practice and continuous professional development; engage in governance and working groups across the MD Program, Medical School, Faculty and University.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in a discipline relevant to medical programs.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary university admissions policies and selection methods, especially in healthcare education.
- Proven educational leadership with impact on teaching and assessment practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and build effective relationships across diverse academic stakeholders.
- Commitment to promoting equity, inclusivity and diversity, supported by strong scholarship of teaching and learning.
- Capacity to represent the Medical School in healthcare, academic and community contexts, with high‑level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Desirable: Healthcare qualification and experience as a healthcare practitioner.
