This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the delivery of high-quality supported living services at our Preston facility — a SIL/STA/MTA accommodating up to 20 Participants.
You will lead the Support Worker Team Leads, drive service quality, manage compliance, maintain referral relationships, and be a key bridge between frontline operations and the executive team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day‐to‐day operations across SIL/SDA/MTA/STA facility, ensuring person‐centred, high‐quality support
* Supervise and develop Team Leads and support workers; contribute to recruitment and onboarding in conjunction with internal HR
* Manage NDIS compliance, reportable incidents, restrictive practices (Module 2A), and SCHADS award obligations
* Own the participant journey from MTA/STA intake through to SDA or home care referral
* Build and maintain referral relationships with support coordinators, plan managers, and allied health
* Oversee NDIS billing, rostering, and resource allocation; maintain occupancy targets with a waiting list
* Report on operational performance to the Regional Manager and Board
* Participate in after‐hours on‐call rotation (shared across organisation)
About You
* EN or Registered Nurse background, or 10+ years in healthcare/disability with clinical and complex needs experience
* Deep working knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards, billing structures (SIL/SDA/STA/MTA/ILO), and the current Price Guide
* Proven understanding of restrictive practices, Module 2A, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission framework
* Strong grasp of the SCHADS Award and OHS obligations
* Demonstrated experience leading teams in a disability or community care setting
* Track record supporting participants with complex presentations — ABI, neurological conditions, intellectual and physical disabilities
* NDIS billing proficiency; experience with Shiftcare or similar care management platforms
* Qualification in Nursing, Community Sector Management, Applied Science (Disability), Certificate IV Disability, or equivalent
