The Role Reporting directly to the family, you will manage daily operations at Fitzroy Vale and play a pivotal role in our cattle backgrounding business. Your primary responsibilities involve processing purchased steers, which include comprehensive induction, monitoring, and diligent animal husbandry to maintain livestock health. You will focus on educating high-quality, quiet, and confident cattle, utilising diverse methods such as buggies, helicopters, and dogs. Beyond livestock management, you will oversee essential property duties, including fencing, weed control, and general maintenance, ensuring the station is always presented to a high, well-kept standard. The Fitzroy Vale property serves as the primary base for their processing and backgrounding operations, handling approximately 4,000 steers.
