Lead Where It Matters Most TheirCare is looking for a full time Program Coordinator based at Cranbrook State School in Townsville, QLD. Reporting to an experienced Area Manager and leading a dedicated team, you'll be stepping into a high-volume service supporting 100 children, many of whom come from diverse and trauma affected backgrounds. Your leadership will bring structure, consistency and trust to a passionate team seeking long term stability. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading a passionate team of educators and supporting their development Designing and delivering inclusive, child-led programs aligned with the NQF Managing daily operations, administration, compliance and reporting Building strong relationships with families, schools, and stakeholders Planning weekly programs, activities and nutritional menus Managing rostering, budgets, and OH&S standards Upholding Child Safe Standards and fostering a positive behaviour approach Supporting children with trauma, neurodiverse needs, and diverse backgrounds Here’s What We’re Looking For… To be considered, you’ll need a Diploma level qualification (or a willingness to enrol) or higher, along with at least 2 years of experience working with children in OSHC, childcare, education, youth work, or trauma informed environments. A valid paid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is also essential. If you’re not yet qualified, TheirCare will support your enrolment in the Diploma of School Age Education and Care to help you meet OSHC leadership requirements (applicable to Australian citizens only, those looking for sponsorship will require a Diploma qualification). Additionally, the following qualifications or experience will be highly valued: HLTAID012 - First Aid in a Childcare Setting (or willingness to complete) HLTAID009 - CPR CHCPRT025 - Identify and respond Children and Young People at Risk Mandatory Reporting Certificate Food Safety Certificates Recent National Criminal History Check (within 6 months) Experience with trauma-informed care, disability support or neurodivergent children Strong understanding of NQF, EYLF, MTOP frameworks and child-led learning As our ideal candidate you are confident, resilient, and lead with empathy.
