Job Title: Fixed Asset Accountant Manager
About the Role:
* We are seeking an experienced professional to manage our fixed asset accounting process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the full fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and impairments.
* Manage monthly depreciation runs and ensure accuracy of fixed asset subledger.
* Review and track construction-in-progress and coordinate with operations for timely capitalization.
* Prepare and reconcile fixed asset roll forwards and related schedules.
* Assist in the physical inventory process and ensure proper asset tagging and documentation.
* Maintain compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
* Support internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets.
* Prepare journal entries and assist with GL account reconciliations during month-end close.
* Contribute to process improvements and ERP enhancements related to asset management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* 4+ years of accounting experience with a focus on fixed assets.
* Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or capital asset-intensive environments preferred.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting standards.
* Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, NetSuite).
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
