UGL's Fuels and Energy East business is seeking a Senior Mechanical / Piping Designer to support brownfield and asset maintenance projects across fuel terminals and petrochemical facilities. Working within our PEM&AM contract, you'll collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver high-quality piping design and P&ID development, ensuring safe, efficient and fit‐for‐purpose outcomes. This is a casual opportunity (2–3 days per week initially) with flexibility and potential to expand based on project demand.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver mechanical and piping design using AutoCAD & CADWorx (2D/3D)
* Drafting P&IDs (critical focus area) using CADWorx P&ID
* Produce GA drawings, isometrics and material take-offs (MTOs)
* Build and coordinate 3D models, including clash detection
* Support brownfield projects including tie‐ins, site checks and as‐built updates
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to meet project deliverables
About You
* 8–10+ years' design & drafting experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or similar
* Strong expertise in piping design and P&IDs (equally important)
* Proficient in CADWorx and AutoCAD
* Experience in brownfield environments and site‐based verification
* Ability to manage stakeholders and work across multiple projects
