We are recruiting for a strategic and hands-on Business Analysis Manager to transform a current BA function into a high-performing, multi-functional practice. The existing practice is in its early stages, and they need a leader who can move beyond "just gathering requirements" to establish a robust framework that adds tangible value across the entire project portfolio. In this role, you won't just be managing people—you will be the architect of our BA methodology. You will refine our processes, elevate our standards, and grow a team capable of supporting everything from regulatory compliance and risk management to digital transformation and customer experience initiatives. Key Responsibilities 1. Practice Leadership & Strategy Methodology Design: Develop and implement a standardised BA toolkit (e.g., requirements traceability, process mapping, user stories, and acceptance criteria) tailored for a regulated financial environment. Ways of Working: Shift the practice from a reactive state to a proactive partner by integrating BA activities early in the project lifecycle. Quality Assurance: Establish Peer Review processes and KPIs to ensure all BA deliverables are accurate, consistent, and of high quality. 2. Team Management & Development Leadership: Directly manage a core team of Business Analysts, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management. Capability Building: Conduct gap analyses on current team skills and implement a training roadmap to build a "multi-functional" team (e.g., bridging the gap between technical, data, and business BAs). Resourcing: Manage demand planning and resource allocation across various workstreams, ensuring the right BAs are matched to the right projects. 3. Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement Business Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders to understand business strategy and translate it into actionable change requirements. Change Advocacy: Promote the value of professional Business Analysis across the organisation, influencing headers of departments to adopt new frameworks. Complex Problem Solving: Step in to lead analysis on high-profile, high-risk, or particularly complex initiatives when required. Your background: Financial Services Pedigree: You understand the nuances of a regulated environment—you know that "impact analysis" includes considering risk, compliance, and reporting requirements. The "Builder" Mindset: You have a proven track record of evolving an immature function. You enjoy the challenge of creating order out of ambiguity and don't mind getting "stuck in" to get things moving. Methodology Expertise: Deep knowledge of diverse delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid). Influencing Skills: You can navigate a corporate environment and convince stakeholders of the long-term benefits of investing in rigorous analysis.
