We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for transforming data into information to guide decision making in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
This position is located within Performance and Business Informatics, which is part of Funding and Performance at Townsville University Hospital. Performance and Business Informatics is the hub for the provision of information solutions relating to health service activity and costing. It operates closely with the Funding and Costing Team to form a cohesive unit to assist executive and service groups within the hospital make informed decisions.
Major outputs for the team include
* The provision of monthly performance reports and presentation of information.
* Business intelligence (BI) reporting of service agreement KPIs at executive and service group level.
* Development, maintenance and support for a suite of databases, dashboards and reports accessible to the executive, service groups, clinical units and wards to assist in the day to day running of their service.
* Provision of information to facilitate benchmarking and accreditation for the organisation.
* Responding to ad-hoc requests from media, executive, research teams and managers.
* Information consulting support for major transformation projects (patient flow, surgical waitlists, etc).

Competitive salary and benefits

* Salary range: $105,568 to $114,861 p.a. (AO5)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
* Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Role Requirements
* While not mandatory, relevant tertiary qualifications, skills or experience in advanced data interpretation, analysis and presentation would be well regarded. Preferred experience with:
o Queensland Health Clinical and Administrative Information Systems, including the Integrated Electronic Medical Record (ieMR) and HBCIS (Hospital Based Corporate Information System)
o Microsoft tools: SQL, SSMS, PowerBI and Excel
o QlikTech (QlikSense and QlikView)
o Crystal Reports
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
* Probation period may apply.
