These officers provide essential non-clinical support within the perioperative setting, including:Providing support services to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Short Stay SuitePreparing and maintaining the unitto meet strict hygiene and safety standards.Transporting patients and equipment, ensuring timely and efficient surgical workflows.Assisting clinical staffby managing supplies and maintaining sterile environments.Contributing to, and participating as a member of the health care teamTheir work directly supports surgeons, nurses, and anaesthetists, enabling them to focus on patient care.
Without this role, the efficiency, safety, and effectiveness of surgical procedures would be significantly compromised, impacting patient outcomes and overall hospital operations.You will need:Demonstrated ability to maintain the cleanliness of equipment and the environment according to infection control guidelines, standards and processes.Demonstrated ability to effectively monitor equipment and stores levels and initiate appropriate action.Demonstrated ability to prioritise work, together with sound communication and interpersonal skills.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Fixed term, casual, position workingas and when required, commencing as soon as possible for 12 months*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $63,110 to $66,049 per annum (Pro rata).
