Samaritans Information and Neighbourhood Centre and the Cessnock Headspace site
- 6 hours per week (2 x 3-hour shifts)
**The Opportunity**:
The cleaner is responsible for the cleaning of the Samaritans Information and Neighbourhood Centre and the Cessnock Headspace site.

**Role & Responsibilities**:
- The cleaner is responsible for the weekly maintenance of kitchen and toilet areas, hallway and office. The cleaner ‘s duties include weekly washing of kitchen and bathroom floors and vacuuming carpeted areas, emptying all waste bins and replacing with clean liners.
- Toilet areas are to be thoroughly cleaned, basins cleaned and supplies of paper towels etc replenished.
- The kitchen sink is to be cleaned with an abrasive cleansing material. It should be then wiped over and left sparkling clean. Any dishes left in the sink are to be washed, dried and put away. (Generally speaking, staff are responsible for washing their own dishes).
- All benches are to be wiped and any spills cleaned up.
- Cupboard doors are to be wiped over to clean any stains.
- The microwave is to be wiped out, and the turntable washed.
- In the office, all surfaces are to be dusted, bins emptied and replaced with clean liners.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of clients, staff and service users.
- Maintain building security and safety.
- Other duties as requested by the Service Coordinator
**About you**:
- Demonstrated experience cleaning in an office setting
- Understanding of confidentiality principles
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety principles
- Demonstrated use of initiative and self-motivation
- Current NSW Working with Children check
- Current first aid certificate
