About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Mine Technician to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team of professionals while contributing to the success of our mining operations.
Key responsibilities:
* Support the Senior Mine Technician with the installation and maintenance of geotechnical slope monitoring equipment.
* Collect, process, and record geotechnical and geological data.
* Assist the geotechnical team with the installation and servicing of downhole instrumentation.
* Assist the mine geologists with field sampling.
* Promote and adhere to safe work practices, including hazard identification, control, and safety interactions reporting.
* Manage personal performance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
* Provide field and logistical support for all MTS drilling projects.
* Conduct area inspections, stocktaking, ordering, and asset management to maintain safety and efficiency.
* Effective stakeholder engagement – particularly with the geotechnical engineers and geologists.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a similar role, particularly with geotechnical instrumentation – Desirable
* Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
* Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Physically fit and able to work in hot and humid conditions.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach, able to work independently.
* Strong commitment to maintaining safety standards.
* High-Risk Work LF (Forklift) and HR license – Desirable
