Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our Melbourne-based Financial Services team and play a pivotal role in managing and growing relationships with key large banking and financial services clients.
In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of client partnership, operational performance, governance, and growth, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while ensuring solutions are delivered seamlessly and compliantly. You'll also help shape and support our broader Financial Solutions strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance value, drive improvement, and lead meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and strengthen relationships with major banking and financial services clients, acting as the primary point of contact for both strategic and operational engagement.
* Develop a deep understanding of each client's business model, strategy, and operating environment to ensure alignment of solutions and services.
* Lead regular governance and performance forums, clearly articulating outcomes, insights, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Proactively manage issues and expectations to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and delivery against contractual commitments.
* Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, delivering clear, data‐driven insights into service performance and financial outcomes.
* Monitor SLAs, KPIs, and broader portfolio health, escalating risks and driving mitigation strategies where required.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, and internal governance requirements.
* Prepare and present performance reports, recommendations, and improvement plans to senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead and support client‐facing change initiatives, including product enhancements, process improvements, regulatory changes, and technology implementations.
* Partner with project teams and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery, effective communication, and strong client outcomes.
* Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across processes, systems, and engagement models.
* Identify opportunities to expand the scope and value of services through cross‐selling, optimisation, and strategic engagement.
* Support commercial discussions, contract reviews, and renewals.
* Maintain a strong and accurate opportunity pipeline within CRM systems such as Salesforce.
* Work closely with operations, product, risk, finance, and technology teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Contribute to internal planning, reporting, and cross‐functional initiatives.
* Provide client‐led insights to inform future product and service enhancements.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You bring a strong blend of relationship management expertise, commercial acumen, and analytical capability, along with a passion for delivering value in complex, regulated environments.
You will ideally have:
* Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, commerce, or a related discipline (preferred).
* 5+ years' experience in account or relationship management within financial services, banking, insurance, or similar regulated industries.
* Proven experience managing large, complex, or strategic client portfolios.
* Strong capability in interpreting performance data and translating it into meaningful insights for senior stakeholders.
* Solid understanding of governance frameworks, reporting cycles, and compliance obligations.
* Experience supporting or leading change programs across technology, operations, or regulatory initiatives.
* Demonstrated success in identifying and developing commercial opportunities.
* Exceptional relationship‐building skills, with confidence engaging senior executives.
* Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
* Advanced communication skills, including report writing and executive‐level presentations.
* Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
