Allyn International is currently looking for aLogistics Coordinator to join our organization! Allyn is a privately-held skilled services firm established in 1992. What does aLogistics Coordinator do?
TheLogistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation and distribution of goods. They will work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of products. TheLogistics Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory and shipments, as well as monitoring and analyzing logistics performance metrics.
Work Schedule: 38 hours, 8 AM-4 PM, Monday-Friday (some weekend / after-hours support may be required)
Compensation: 60,000 - 75,000 annual salary + Superannuation
Physical Demands: Sitting, typing, standing, walking
Candidates must be Australian Citizens and furnish a Valid National Police Check upon hire.
Requirements & Qualifications:
3+ years experience in professional supply chain management, logistics, or transportation
Experience in both Australian Domestic and International Logistics is required
Defense industry experience preferred
Must be eligible for Baseline Level Security Clearance
Ideal candidates will have the following:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of relevant regulations and laws
Responsibilities:
Work with local team leaders to coordinate, and oversee, and participate in day-to-day logistics operations and service:
Route cargo in compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer requirements
Coordinate shipment routing, carrier selection, and documentation
Use and maintain Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other client systems
Track and trace shipments, update records, and proactively manage delays
Ensure compliance with DOT, Hazmat, over-dimensional permitting, and international shipping regulations
Issue accurate shipping documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, certificates)
Monitor and ensure data integrity and quality in logistics systems
Capture and document all costs, including freight, detention, demurrage, and accessorial
Support marketing campaigns and contribute to articles and publications
Provide recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative analysis
Suggest and manage technical/process enhancements
