Job Title: Electrical Network Engineer
We are seeking skilled and experienced Electrical Network Engineers to join our team in the Eastern region. As an Electrical Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading electrical networks in a fast-paced environment.
The role involves working on planned and unplanned maintenance works, responding to faults, and rectifying them promptly to minimize supply disruptions. You will also work with locally based crews on construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that all work is completed to Western Power standards.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong technical skills, including experience in construction and maintenance of distribution electricity networks. A Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Overhead (or equivalent) is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responding to and rectifying faults promptly to minimize supply disruptions.
* Working with locally based crews on planned and unplanned maintenance works.
* Completing construction and maintenance work to Western Power standards.
* Maintaining and developing core line skills in line with evolving industry requirements.
* Participating in pre-job planning to ensure safety and reliability.
* Working outdoors in varying conditions with appropriate safety measures.
* Upholding excellent customer relations when interacting with the public.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Overhead (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in construction and maintenance of distribution electricity networks.
* HOU and LOU Switching experience (highly regarded but not essential).
* HC driver's licence (highly regarded but not essential).
* Crane licence (highly regarded but not essential).
