Job Title: Cultural Heritage Advisor

About the Role
We are currently tendering for works in the Cairns region and are seeking expressions of interest from Cultural Heritage Officers/Consultants to support a range of Roadworks Programs.
The successful candidate will provide high-level guidance on cultural heritage expertise to meet Government commitments.

Key Responsibilities
* Liaise, consult and build effective relationships with stakeholders;
* Deliver guidance on cultural heritage issues;
* Provide planning, design & construction advice & services with cultural heritage considerations;
* Desktop and field data collection, collation and analysis;
* Prepare reports and plan, conduct and close out field audits as per relevant plans, standards and statutory obligations.

Requirements
* At least two years' experience on green or brownfield infrastructure construction projects utilising cultural heritage management processes, standards and responsibilities;
* At least a year of that working directly or indirectly on TMR Roads Infrastructure Projects (or other Australian Road Authorities);
* Degree in Archaeological, Anthropology, Social Science, Cultural Heritage Management, Architecture or equivalent;
* Current car driver's licence.

Preferred Qualifications
* Membership of a related Professional body;
* Auditing, Environmental Science &/or Project Management qualifications or affiliations.

Location
The roles are based in Cairns QLD.
Preference will be given to people already living in Cairns or willing to relocate there, or alternatively DIDO or FIFO may be considered.

Work Arrangements
Nominally 40 hrs p/week (5-day week, approximately 8 hrs p/day), however this could vary pending project requirements.
