The Head of Data Platforms - CST, SBD and WIB role is a leadership role reporting into the GM Data Platforms.
An experienced thought, people and data leader who is passionate about Data, Delivery and Transformation leading a blended, distributed, talented and innovative team.
**What you will do**
- Lead and/or contribute to technology execution and roadmaps for the Group's Data Strategy as it relates to the aligned business divisions and LOBs, and provide execution alignment through projects to the technology strategy and architectural decisions
- Leading the Data Platforms CST, SBD and WIB team consistent with Technology Data Platforms strategy, Group strategy, Group policies and frameworks, relevant delegations, the Group Risk Appetite Statement and applicable laws and regulations
- Create a High Performing team - Talent action planning and team succession planning. Support, Coach and Mentor team members.
- Ensure Data Platforms is a well run, data driven high performing business unit - Financials, HR/people process and supplier process
- Lead management of escalated incidents where there is a broad business impact.
- Own and accountable for delivery of Data Services and Projects to the aligned business divisions and LOBS, which serve to provide critical data capability to the business areas that use these platforms to process business owned data in order to develop models, products, insights and reporting for regulatory and business purposes.
- Manage development quality in line with expectations from the business set by prioritised need
- Ensure effective strategic workforce management and skills uplift in place to meet delivery demand from LOBs
- Drive the Vision and Strategy of the Agile Evolution across Data Platforms embedding a strong metrics driven culture across Data Platforms to measure progress.
- Lead the coaching community and be a constant champion for continuous improvement and agility to derive faster value to our customers.
- Collaborate with Engineering excellence streams, to ensure all change is cohesive and understood across Data Platforms
- Regularly measure performance of all data platforms teams aligned with Agile goals

Significant experience leading change transformations

- Proven ability to embed organisational change
- Ability to think strategically (beyond just the here and now), and synthesise lots of complex information to come up with solutions with tangible impact.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to effectively address resistant stakeholders and challenging situations
- Excellent communication skills and approach tasks with a problem-solving attitude, with a constant lens of continuous improvement.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity and confidential information
- Be flexible and sensitive when dealing with different viewpoints, styles and cultures
- Ability to manage multiple complex tasks concurrently and still deliver quality output
- The ability to maintain a long-term focus without losing sight of tactical objectives
