Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as a Humanities and Social Sciences Teacher. This is a 12-month fixed-term full-time position with possible extension and/or permanency.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering an engaging and relevant secondary school curriculum across Humanities and Social Sciences, promoting restorative practices and Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance student wellbeing and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

* Promote restorative practices and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to enhance student wellbeing and engagement.
* Collaborate with staff to deliver and differentiate curriculum that meets the needs of individual students.
* Provide purposeful and meaningful learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
* Employ research-based, high-impact teaching strategies to cater for diverse student needs.
* Create and maintain a supportive, safe learning environment that enables all students to achieve their highest potential.
Qualifications & Requirements
* A Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Arts with a major in Humanities and Social Sciences or related field.
* A valid Working With Children Check.
* Experience in teaching Humanities and Social Sciences subjects at secondary level.
* Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and its implementation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
