Big Gold Coast venue looking for an Event Manager on a 12 Month Contract
**Your new company**
Hays have partnered with a well-known multi-function venue boasting multiple exhibition halls, an arena and meetings rooms that cater from 10 to 6,000 people. It is to go-to destination for trade shows, events, exhibitions and concerts.
**Your new role**
As the Event Manager, you will be reporting into the Manager of Events and will be responsible for the coordination and management of the larger events, as well as providing exceptional customer service to maintain customer relationships.
**Responsibilities**:
- Management and planning of the event schedule with clients
- Achieve set KPIs and revenue targets
- Conduct site inspections for prospective clients
- Participate in Trade Shows
- Resolve customer service queries and concerns
- Update the EBMS database
- Complete the event run-sheet and distribute to relevant departments within the organisation
- Encourage established clients to re-book for future events
- Pass on enquiries/leads to the sales team
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in the role of Events Manager, you will have the following skill set:
- Previous experience with Ungerboeck and Visio is preferred, but not essential
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hospitality or multi-function venue
- Great customer service and communication skills
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- Work well under pressure to meet deadlines
