About The Role
We are looking for a Customer Service Officer in Ipswich to work a 7.30am - 3.30pm shift on a full-time basis Monday to Friday. There may be some reasonable overtime. The team handles around 30 calls a day supporting our Humes concrete business.
* Work a 7.30am - 3.30pm shift, Monday to Friday, with possible reasonable overtime
* Provide customer service support to clients and handle a mix of inbound enquiries and outbound order confirmations

Key Responsibilities
* Handle customer enquiries promptly and courteously and advise of any delays
* Process customer orders in an accurate and timely manner
* Maintain regular and effective communication with both sales and production staff
* Escalate any customer issues that you are unable to resolve to the appropriate department/manager
* Continuously improve processes
* Duties may be varied from time to time consistent with training and skills, and such varied duties are to be performed to defined standards
* Liaise with the Operation and Scheduling teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and met in a timely manner
* Be the main point of contact for customers and employees
Skills and Experience Required
* Previous experience in a customer service or similar role
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and talking on the phone with customers
* Available to work 7.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday, with the possibility of reasonable overtime
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with customers and stakeholders at all levels
* Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
* Attention to detail and high-level proficiency in Google and MS Office
* Experience using SAP to process quotes and orders is a nice to have
* Experience in concrete is beneficial but not essential as training is provided
