About the role
We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to potentially join our team in the Corangamite Shire Region (Terang, Camperdown, Cobden and surrounding areas). It is preferred however not essential that you have experience in the Aged Care sector. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client‐focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You will also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities
* Working within a person‐centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
* Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
* Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
* Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
* Preparing food, feeding clients and administering medications
* Observing, caring and reporting any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
* Responding to emergency situations
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
* Current or willingness to gain a National Police Check
* Current First Aid & CPR certificates
* Working with Children Certificate (Not Mandatory)
* Driver's Licence and reliable registered vehicle (with Comprehensive Insurance)
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
Preferred Skills
* Willing to learn recent skills
* NDIS Screening (not mandatory)
* Working with Children Check (not mandatory)
