Secondary English Teacher Position
Mundaring Christian College, a vibrant K–12 school nestled in the scenic Perth Hills, offers students a nurturing and dynamic learning environment across two campuses. We seek a faith-filled, passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our Secondary team from Term 4, 2025, in a full-time, permanent role. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, student-focused environment and is committed to helping young people grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons, support diverse learning needs through inclusive practices, and use data-driven strategies to enhance student outcomes. Additionally, they will foster a positive and collaborative classroom environment and actively contribute to the broader life of the College, including extra-curricular activities.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English lessons (Years 7–12) in compliance with School Curriculum and Standards Authority requirements.
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
* Use formative and summative assessment data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes.
* Collaborate closely with the Head of Learning Support on Curriculum Adjustment Plans and Individual Learning Profiles.
* Meet educational standards set by the Department of Education Western Australia and adhere to National Professional Standards for Teachers.
* Work collaboratively with the Pastoral Care team to provide emotional, spiritual, and behavioural support to students.
* Demonstrate effective classroom management and employ contemporary teaching practices.
Essential Qualifications and Attributes
* Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
* Accept and align with the Association's Statement of Faith and Foundational Statements of belief.
* Provide a brief overview of prior experience highlighting relevant qualifications, skills, and accomplishments that align with the responsibilities of the role.
* Ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank Courses.
