Senior Safety Advisor | WA Concrete
Holcim Australia is looking for a Senior Safety Advisor to join our WA Concrete team. Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager – Concrete, you will act as a key regional leader, supporting our concrete manufacturing, logistics, and business operations functions.
Based at the Perth, WA corporate office, this full‐time permanent role is located in East Perth. You will be a trusted partner from the front line to senior management, providing expert advisory, coaching, and support services to regional managers and supervisors, helping to build their H&S capability and ensure our strategic objectives are delivered safely.
This role moves beyond mere compliance, focusing on the "safety of work" and elevating critical risk management. You will foster a genuine belief that "We Keep Each Other Safe" by acting as a coach and mentor to our operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation of Holcim Global and Holcim Australia health and safety programs across the region.
* Lead the implementation and verification of the Holcim Critical Risk Control framework and manage the safety risk process, including hazard identification and control design.
* Promote a "lead with care" culture and maintain active safety consultation across the business unit.
* Help stakeholders utilise H&S systems and processes while identifying risk improvement opportunities and industry trends.
* Lead incident investigations and conduct H&S audits against internal systems, legislation, and standards.
* Prepare performance reports for all levels of management and act as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies and clients.
About You
* Education: Diploma qualification in Health & Safety (Degree qualifications, and Membership of the Australian Institute of Health & Safety will be highly regarded).
* Experience: Proven experience in a senior safety advisory or leadership role, preferably within quarrying, mining, cement, construction, or industrial manufacturing.
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, industry practices, and experience with incident, audit, and risk IT platforms.
* Soft Skills: Exceptional influencing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage productively at all levels.
* Digital Literacy: Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite is preferred.
