Catering and Event Coordinator Role
Join our team as a Catering and Event Coordinator at the Geelong Arena for an exciting opportunity to plan and implement food, beverage, event staffing, meeting room & court hire services.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the delivery of food and beverage operations within the venue. You will provide day-to-day management to Leisure Services Officers at the Geelong Arena, oversee staff rosters, induction and training of Leisure Services Officer (Events), and coordinate facility bookings, management and set up of meeting room & court hire services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate food and beverage operations within the venue.
* Manage day-to-day activities of Leisure Services Officers at the Geelong Arena.
* Oversee staff rosters, induction and training of Leisure Services Officer (Events).
* Coordinate facility bookings, management and setup of meeting rooms and courts.
* Collaborate with user groups, contractors and event promoters to assist in planning, supervision and delivery of events.
To succeed in this role, you will need experience in coordination and running of catering and café operations, along with leadership skills and the ability to think on your feet. Your high level of service provision is also essential for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in Customer Service, Events and Hospitality Industry.
* Knowledge of and experience in coordinating catering and café operations, including food and beverage services, food safety policies and procedures, and facility hire.
* Ability to work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
