A Little About the Role
As the Quality and Service Improvement (QASI) Lead, you'll work with the ACT Territory Director, managers, social workers, and national practice teams to embed quality and safeguarding practices across KAA's Out of Home Care (OOHC), Sustaining Families and After Care services in ACT. You'll lead compliance and continuous improvement initiatives, develop local procedures and processes, deliver audits and training, champion cultural safety and play a part in delivering lasting outcomes for children and families.
Key responsibilities include :
* Partner with multi-disciplinary teams and the Leadership team to embed quality and safeguarding practices that meet legislative and organisational standards.
* Lead compliance initiatives, including audits, policy and procedure development, and staff training to ensure continuous improvement and culturally safe practices for our First Nations children.
* Coordinate timely and effective responses to incidents, complaints and care concerns, maintaining accurate records and meeting all reporting requirements.
* Drive collaborative improvement planning, ensuring actions from audits and reviews are tracked and implemented across local and national practice teams.
The base salary for this position is $110,102.72- $114,983.44 per annum (based on 1.0 FTE), + super + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.
This is a part-time (0.8 FTE / 4 days a week), ongoing position.
About You
You bring expertise in quality frameworks and compliance, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with leaders and multi-disciplinary teams. You're confident influencing at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.
We'd love to hear from you if you have :
* A recognised qualification in Social Work, Quality or Business Management.
* Minimum two years' experience in child safety, out of home care or family services with at least one year of supervisory experience, evidencing a strong working knowledge of relevant child safety legislation and safeguarding practices.
* Demonstrated experience in quality management and compliance, including audits, policy development and training.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build partnerships and work collaboratively across teams.
