The APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including copper, nickel, lithium, vanadium, rare earths, and base metals. These projects range from studies through to EPCM packages, working on developments in Australia and internationally.
Our team has secured a long-term engineering services project partnering with one of the world's largest precious metal operations. Your role will focus on creating delivery excellence across the assigned project portfolio. This portfolio may include small-scale projects with responsibility for cost, schedule, resource allocation, and risk, while working within an established program management plan.
In this role, you will:
* Establish detailed designs and performance specifications to fulfill the requirements of assigned general specifications for components, systems, processes, etc.
* Meet discipline cost and schedule requirements in production of deliverables, coordinating your own work schedule, and preparing progress reports.
* Develop a range of engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, reports, technical requisitions, and others.
* Conduct problem-solving in your area of expertise, involving new concepts and varied problems to be solved that demand technical expertise, investigation, and interpretation.
* Partner with clients, building a collaborative working relationship and driving aligned objectives to ensure continuous delivery of project needs.
Requirements include:
* Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institute, preferably Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
* Ability to supervise, manage, motivate, and mentor technical professionals.
* Consistently demonstrates creativity and innovation in finding solutions and alternatives to address complex client requirements, possessing agility and adaptability to project or client requirements.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills for inter-departmental and external interactions.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve significant and unusual problems and generate substantial improvements to practices and procedures.
* Broadly interpret principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty.
* High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work.
* Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable.
* Adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of projects.
