BRHS is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate and support Enrolled Nurse graduates through their Transition to Practice Program, leading education, guidance and development within a supportive learning team.
Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to lead and support our Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice Program. The Contract: Fixed Term, Part Time, 40 hours per fortnight (until February 2027)
Flexible working hours available, Monday to Friday. Please specify your preferred hours in your application.
The Position:
The Coordinator is responsible for supporting Enrolled Nurse graduates through their transition to practice by managing recruitment, overseeing organisational and departmental orientation, coordinating study days, and ensuring each graduate has clear learning objectives and a tailored learning portfolio. The role provides ongoing guidance to graduates and preceptors, monitors competency and mandatory training completion, and works collaboratively with clinical departments to ensure a positive and well‑supported learning experience. It also contributes to program evaluation and continuous improvement to maintain a high‑quality transition program.
The Team:
The BRHS Learning, Support & Development team consists of knowledgeable, passionate and highly experienced nurses who are dedicated to supporting professional development and high‑quality patient care. The Unit delivers education, training, competency assessment, supervision and development opportunities for nursing and broader clinical staff.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' recent experience as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
* Preceptor/clinical supervision training and experience.
* Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (desirable or willingness to undertake).
* Understanding of delegation and supervision principles, plus teaching and assessment knowledge.
* Experience providing performance feedback to students/staff.
