Overview
The Diversity Clinic by Hashworth Psychology is a medium-sized private practice with locations in Wollongong and Sutherland. We support adolescents and adults with complex mental health needs, with a solid focus on trauma-informed care and serving diverse client presentations. We bring together a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, counsellors, and therapy assistants and are seeking a trauma-informed psychologist or accredited mental health social worker to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based support to adolescents and adults
- Provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families
- Create an inclusive, respectful therapeutic environment
- Collaborate with professionals such as GPs, psychiatrists, teachers, and case managers
- Contribute to case formulations and treatment plans tailored to each client
- Engage in trauma-focused CPD and supervision opportunities
- Access opportunities for professional growth and leadership
- Enjoy flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends if preferred
Qualifications
- Registration with AHPRA (Provisionals awaiting registration encouraged to apply) or AASW
- Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number
- Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain before starting)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to professional development and supervision
- Experience in evidence-based methods, with openness to learning advanced techniques
- Preferred: EMDR Therapy Training and SIRA Accreditation
