Mackay Regional Council has an opportunity for an experienced Formsetter to join our Civil Operations team, based at the Paget Depot. This is a permanent full-time position including a 9-day fortnight
About this opportunity:
The team you will join provide a high level of client service to both internal and external stakeholders.
This position is responsible for competently undertaking formsetting tasks including construct and repair concrete pits, slabs, design plan reading, site preparation, levelling, set out, installation of formwork, concrete finishing and curing. Competent operation of rigid motor vehicle (truck) with GVM greater than 15 tonne as well as ride-on equipment and light mechanical plant. Installing/removing signage for works carried out in road reserves in accordance with recommended standard, completing the required paperwork in a prompt and detailed manner while performing all work and associated functions in a safe manner complying with all documents, WH&S policies and procedures, work instructions and verbal instructions issued by the organisation or its officers.
You are someone who likes being part of a team, but can work independently, and is committed to providing quality client services.
If you have experience in civil construction and maintenance operations including but not limited to formsetting, hands on labouring, earthworks/machinery, pipelaying, bitumen and vegetation work, this is the position for you.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Current General Construction Safety ‘White’ Card
Current QLD Medium Rigid Truck ‘MR’ Class Licence
Good experience in truck driving
Extensive experience in construction/maintenance formsetting tasks
Good experience in construction/maintenance of roads and drainage infrastructure.
