We are seeking an experienced Convoy Supervisor to support the secure and compliant movement of Explosive Ordnance (EO) within our Security Sensitive Transport division. This is a critical role ensuring every journey is conducted safely, professionally, and in full alignment with strict legislative and organisational requirements.
About the Role
As a Convoy Supervisor, you will take the lead in coordinating and overseeing convoy operations to ensure the safe, secure and efficient transport of EO. You will be responsible for pre‐departure planning, en‐route management, load integrity, compliance checks, and effective communication with drivers, schedulers, and customers.
This role demands strong situational awareness, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safety.
Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of EO and dangerous goods transport legislation and codes.
* Ability to interpret manifests, journey plans, and DG documentation.
* Knowledge of load restraint and seal security processes.
* Competent with communications systems (UHF, mobile, satellite tracking).
* Proven ability to lead multi‐vehicle convoys.
* Strong risk assessment and problem‐solving capabilities.
* Calm, decisive, and professional under pressure.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Required Qualifications & Clearances
* Current MR Driver's Licence
* Baseline Defence Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
* Current or ability to acquire QESC (Qld Explosives Security Clearance Card) / or a State equivalent Security Clearance (NSW UHL)
* Dangerous Goods licence (advantageous)
* Trained and inducted in Advanced Fatigue Management (or willingness to complete)
* Flexibility to travel and stay away for up to 12 nights
