Responsibilities
Measuring and combining ingredients to prepare doughs and batters for bread, pastries, and other baked goods.
Kneading, mixing, shaping, and molding dough for various baked products.
Baking bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items in accordance with specified temperatures and recipes.
Operating and maintaining baking machinery and equipment, including ovens, mixers, and dough dividers, to ensure efficient production.
Checking the quality of raw materials and finished goods, inspecting for consistency, freshness, and compliance with standards.
Monitoring baking processes, adjusting temperatures, humidity levels, and timings to achieve the desired outcome.
Decorating and finishing bakery products, including cakes, pastries, and specialty items, as required.
Following daily production schedules and adapting to changes in workload or demands.
Cleaning and maintaining the work area, equipment, and tools, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Innovating and improving recipes, techniques, and processes to enhance product quality and variety.
Qualifications
Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent) is required.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a baker
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
Familiarity with using baking equipment and tools.
Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for baking.
