About the role:
Provide leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers and support Registered Nurses in their role to promote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care at Uniting AgeWell – Strath-Haven, Bendigo
* Deliver high quality, person-centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
* Provide nursing care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
* Support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes
* Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses
* Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Registered Nurses
* Part Time opportunity working Wednesday to Saturday 7am-3pm
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2)
* Experience as an EEN in residential aged care/ home care (preferred)
* Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
* Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on-the-spot problem solving
* Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast-paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one-on-one interactions with all levels of care partners
* Available and committed to work in the above-mentioned roster vacancies
