We are currently partnering with a growing organisation within the fresh food distribution sector to appoint an experienced Warehouse Manager. This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to take ownership of warehouse operations and drive performance, efficiency, and team development.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse operation handling perishable products. This is a hands‐on position requiring a strong operational mindset and the ability to lead from the front.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
* Manage inventory, stock accuracy, and product rotation (FIFO)
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse staff
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and food handling regulations
* Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics and dispatch
* Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain accurate reporting and operational controls
About You
* Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role
* Experience within FMCG, logistics, or a perishable goods environment is advantageous
* Strong leadership and team management capabilities
* Highly organised with strong problem‐solving skills
* Knowledge of warehouse systems and inventory processes
* Comfortable working in a fast‐paced, high‐volume setting
