Join the Human Resource Service Centre within People, Strategy and Governance at Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS).
Operating under a tiered services model, the HR Service Centre is the first point of contact for day-to-day HR operational and administrative activities across the employment lifecycle, supporting managers and staff with policy and award interpretation, recruitment and talent acquisition support, payroll queries, grievance and dispute management, and more.
You will collaborate closely with specialist HR teams and HR Business Partners to deliver responsive, high-quality services across our Townsville-based portfolio.

Competitive salary and benefits
* Salary between $53.24 – $57.92 per hour (AO5).
* 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with % loading.

About your opportunity
As an AO5 Human Resources Advisor, you will deliver timely, objective, and outcomes-focused HR advice across the employment lifecycle. You will research and interpret HR directives, policies, procedures, industrial agreements and awards; manage enquiries; support recruitment and transfers; assist with grievance and dispute matters; and ensure consistent application of HR operational processes.
You will provide targeted education and training to build manager and staff capability, prepare accurate HR documentation (reports, briefs, correspondence), analyse HR data to inform performance insights, and contribute to policy and guideline development as part of a centralised HR operations model.
Requirements
* Possession of a tertiary or higher-level qualification in human resources or a related field (or equivalent experience) would be highly regarded.
* Professional Membership of the Australian Human Resources Institute would be highly regarded.
* This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
* A probationary period may apply.
