We have multiple permanent roster lines available across our SIL home and Learning and Lifestyle Centre (Day Program and Commac) in Alexandra Hills, offering 20‐50 hour fortnightly contracts. Some rosters are primarily day shift based, while others include a mix of day shifts and sleepovers. These supports are part of a permanent schedule, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts where available.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living tasks such as cooking, meal planning, light cleaning, and personal care.
* Support clients in achieving their NDIS goals by developing skills in housekeeping, budgeting, social interaction, and personal care.
* Facilitate community connection through activities such as walks, movies, appointments, and social outings.
* Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while remaining calm under pressure and responding appropriately to challenging situations.
* Encourage and support clients to build important life skills, confidence, and relationships with family, friends, and services.
* Provide wide‐range assistance across various shifts, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and overnight supports.
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
* Experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern.
* Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Current or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Driver's Licence with comprehensive insurance.
* Ability to work a permanent roster line that may include multiple sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and overnight supports.
