Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our business operations.
This includes understanding the architecture, design, delivery, operation, and control of IT infrastructures required to deliver and support IT services and products. You will also be responsible for preparing for new or changed services, operating the change process, maintaining regulatory, legal, and professional standards, building and managing systems and components in physical, virtualized, or hybrid computing environments, and monitoring performance in relation to business performance, security, and sustainability.
Key Accountabilities:
* Ensure seamless availability of services to carry out normal business tasks through infrastructure enablement, architecture, design, implementation, monitoring, availability, and capability.
* Develop a strong understanding of Agile and DevOps environments and working practices.
Technical Responsibilities:
* Carry out agreed operational procedures of a progressive nature under instruction.
* Contribute to maintenance, installation, and problem resolution.
* Build and manage virtual and physical infrastructure/network/storage.
* Contribute to the creation, improvement, and maintenance of accurate documentation.
* Perform proactive maintenance of IT platforms, ensuring secure and efficient operation following recognized best practice.
* Support knowledge sharing amongst other team members.
Team Support:
* Support continuous improvement through feedback on existing processes and proposing process and template improvements.
* Mentor Graduate engineers by providing guidance and support in Cross Domain technologies and estimation activities.
* Provide software support knowledge in conjunction with a CDS Software SME focusing on Java technologies.
* Fulfill support obligations with autonomy to ensure customer ongoing missions are always operational.
Requirements:
* Minimum NV2 Australian security clearance is required, preferably PV or ability to acquire one.
* Demonstrated contemporary software and infrastructure engineering competence is highly desired, equivalent to qualifications in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or similar fields.
