Our client is a large utility company with its headquarters located in Perth (SOR). On their behalf, IronMerge are seeking interested and qualified candidates to apply for the role of Senior Planning Engineer (System Studies). Key responsibilities: Lead customer connection system studies, including steady state, dynamic and DER integration modelling. - Develop long term network plans and short to medium term capacity plans aligned to the company's strategic goals. - Provide expert technical advice on power system development, new technologies, renewable integration, and planning standards. Key stakeholders : The internal teams (Network regs team, Operations) and externally - customers and contractors. Looking for candidates with an Electrical Engineering degree and significant experience in energy system planning, modelling, and analysis. Knowledge of distribution and transmission networks, renewable energy integration, and emerging power system technologies. Strong system modelling capability (load flow, dynamic studies, RMS/EMT). Someone with PowerFactory experience would be fantastic, but not mandatory. Ideally you would have a Utilities background or maybe have come from a consultancy.
