Hospitality NationPty Ltd is a leading construction company based in Queensland. We specialize in building high-quality homes and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform residential carpentry duties such as building frameworks, installing sub-flooring, attaching exterior cladding, and finishing interior fixtures.
* Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
* Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using rulers, squares, or marking gauges
* Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
* Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter's hand and power tools
* Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
* Inspect and repair wood structures and fixtures for damage or wear
* Select and order materials and supplies needed for projects
* Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget
* Ensure all work is completed according to safety regulations and company standards
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Carpenter
* Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods, as well as safety practices
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans
* Proficient in using hand and power tools
* Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour for extended periods of time
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
* Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Education and Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in carpentry
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry or above, preferably in residential construction
* Additional certifications or licenses in carpentry or related fields are a plus
Salary and Benefits
* Salary range of $73150 - $80000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
