We're on the lookout for a practical, mechanically minded person to join our workshop team. You'll work closely with leaders on the shop floor to diagnose issues, identify solutions, and step in to action them yourself wherever possible. If you've got proven experience, mechanical aptitude, and a can-do attitude, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
* Work with workshop leaders to troubleshoot and resolve issues
* Bring forward continuous improvement ideas
* Take a hands‑on approach across a variety of workshop tasks
* Assist with assembling equipment, installing insulation, painting, dismantling and general workshop duties
* Use hand and power tools safely and confidently
* Support tradespeople in mechanical or general assembly tasks
* Maintain workshop facilities, plant, and equipment
* Carry out preparation, clean‑up, and tool management tasks
* Contribute to a safe, productive, and organised work environment
What We're Looking For
* Mechanical aptitude or experience — trade background not essential but highly valued
* Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, production, or trades assistant role
* Comfortable with hands‑on, practical work
* Strong problem‑solving skills and able to work independently or as part of a team
* Positive, reliable, and self‑motivated
* Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
* Physically fit and able to handle workshop duties
* Forklift licence is an advantage but not required
* Metal fabrication skills or general mechanical knowledge (formal qualifications not essential)
* A team player with enthusiasm, respect, and a can‑do attitude
