**Medical receptionist & personal assistant in a specialist centre**

We are looking for a permanent **casual/part-time** medical receptionist for a suburban specialist centre located in Sunnybank / Sunnybank Hills, Brisbane.

This specialist centre is purpose designed and built and it offers a superb working environment for staff and for patient care.

The main specialties in the centre are Dermatology and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Previous experience in working for a dermatologist will be most desirable but not essential.

A good understanding and experience in specialist medical reception work, billing, receiving, EFTPOS etc would be desirable. **Good typing skills** are **mandatory**for typing medical reports and correspondence. You would be doing dictaphone typing.

You must have a very good command of the English Language and interpersonal skills. Your handwriting must be legible to others. Ability to communicate in Mandarin and Cantonese would be very favourable but not essential.

Other tasks includes, but not limited to, cleaning and sterilisation of surgical instruments, cleaning of the centre and operation of phototherapy units. If unfamiliar, this can be easily learned on the job.

You will also be the personal assistant to the director.

You must be flexible to cover holidays/sick leave etc of other receptionists.

You would have at least one to two days of work per week. Occasionally you will be required to cover Saturday and other weekdays if other staff is on leave.

After training you must be able to operate and look after the centre **independently**.

This is a permanent position. Therefore it _will _**not**_ _be suitable for TAFE or University students who would be moving on to other careers_.

Wages may vary depending on qualification and experience. You will be paid lower wages during training and subsequent probation periods.

Experience in use of Genie Solution and MYOB software are advantageous but not essential.

We are progressive and ethical employer.

Initial estimated weekly working hours is 4-16 hours.

We follow Health Professionals and Support Services Award.

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour

- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

**Education**:

- High School (Year 12) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Mandarin or Cantonese (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
