Finance Discipline, UQ Business School based in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL). Base salary: $114,824.05 – $136,048.73 + 17% superannuation (Academic Level B), or $140,293.65 – $161,518.34 + 17% superannuation (Academic Level C), commensurate with qualifications and experience. Based at our St Lucia Campus. Full-time (100%), permanent position.
About This Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Teaching-Focused Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to expand their impact through teaching aligned with UQ values. In this role, you will drive excellence and innovation in teaching through strong internal and external collaborations, shaping teaching practice, policy, and curriculum. You will also coordinate and mentor colleagues, demonstrating growing influence and leadership in teaching and educational development.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
* Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
* Supervision and Researcher Development (optional): Recruit and supervise students and provide feedback and training.
* Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You
* A PhD or equivalent in Finance or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated excellence in teaching Finance across undergraduate, honours and/or postgraduate levels, including course coordination experience.
* An emerging (Level B) or established (Level C) profile in teaching impact, education research and/or disciplinary research with high-quality outputs.
* Experience contributing to (Level B) or leading (Level C) curriculum, pedagogy or assessment initiatives, with success in funded projects or research grants highly regarded.
* Experience contributing to (Level B) or leading (Level C) supervision of Honours and/or Higher Degree by Research students, where appropriate.
* Strong communication and collaborative skills, with evidence of academic leadership, mentoring and service aligned to career stage.
