Technical Analyst Position
The Digital Preservation team at Cambridge University Library is seeking a skilled Technical Analyst to contribute to establishing services for digital collection materials. This includes data transfer from handheld storage carriers, requiring a deep understanding of data risks and vulnerabilities.
A key responsibility of the role is working with colleagues across the library, liaising with heads of departments and academics to ensure seamless collaboration. The successful candidate will have a vital contribution to the Digital Preservation Programme, ensuring long-term access to digital materials.
Main Responsibilities:
* Establish the CUL Digital Preservation Lab for research and development purposes;
* Prepare digital materials for ingest to a preservation workflow;
* Collaborate with teams to achieve common goals and objectives;
