We are leaders in providing safe, accessible, sustainable, and efficient transport services and solutions that promote economic prosperity and enhance the lifestyles of all Western Australians.

The Opportunity

We're growing our Business Information Systems team and have created two brand-new Development Lead roles. In these positions, you'll play a key part in delivering innovative applications that support the Department's vision for a connected and sustainable WA.

While these roles share the same core responsibilities, each will focus on a different technology stack including:

* Backend/Cloud technology systems such as AWS, Spring Boot, Java or J2EE.

Some key activities these roles will undertake include:

* Lead the developers to ensure best practice processes are used for software development and release and change management;
* Review and support the development team to ensure their code is of good quality and meets cyber security standards using tools such as SonaType and SonaQube.
* Provides high level technical advice and leads the development team when there are technical support issues;
* Ensure adherence to approved development standards, guidelines and architectural principles; and
* Provide guidance for the implementation of system upgrades and patching.

This is an exciting chance to bring your technical leadership to a growing team, introduce best practices, and help shape the future of transport technology.
