About the role
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has an exciting opportunity for experienced and passionate Scrub-Scout Registered Nurses to work within our Perioperative Unit in a permanent position.
The Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and its surrounds since 1927. Our hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Registered Nurses who will be motivated by a challenging and fast paced environment.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
* Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
* Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
* Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
* Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following criteria:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (without restriction)
* Minimum of one-year post-graduate perioperative or Scrub-Scout experience. If you have limited perioperative experience but have transferrable skills, training is available
* Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
* Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
* Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
* Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times
