ShoalBayReceivingStation(SBRS),basedinDarwin(NorthernTerritory),isaremoteintelligencefacilitymanagedbyASD.WorkingatsitewillofferauniqueandchallengingworkenvironmentwhereexperiencedpublicsectorprofessionalsworkalongsidehighlyskilledtechnicalexpertstoachieveexcitingoutcomesforASD.
Weareseekinganenergetic,highlyorganisedandtask-orientatedEL1SystemAdministratorLeadtoundertakeabroadrangeofworkinsupportofASD'smission.YouWillplayacriticalroleinsupportingtheinternalinfrastructureofoneofthelargestorganisationswithintheNationalIntelligenceCommunity.
Youwillberequiredtoworkcloselybetweenthetwositesandotherareasacrosstheorganisation.
Duetotheuniquenatureoftheworkconductedatthislocation,staffmaybeprovidedtheopportunitytoobtainarangeofadditionalqualificationsincludingconstructioncards,truckandforkliftlicenses.
Key Duties
* Provideauthoritativesystemsengineeringadviceandstrategicguidancetoprogramleadership,ensuringtechnicalsolutionsarealignedwithASD'smissionandenterprisearchitecture
* Managestakeholderrelationshipsandescalatedenquiries/casesandissues.
* Producehighlytechnicalsystemsadministratoroutcomes.
* Directtheresolutionofcriticalsystem-levelissuesandmanagecomplextrade-offsbetweencost,schedule,andtechnicalperformance.
* Exerciseconsiderabledegreeofindependenceandperformaleadershiprole.
* Produceconcisetechnicalsystemsdocumentationandknowledgeartefactssupportingoperationalcontinuity.
* Workindependentlywiththeopportunityforreasonableautonomyandaccountabilityfortheachievementofoutcomesoftheirwork.
* Assesstechnicalanddesignpackagesincludingscoping,planning,reviewing,providerecommendationsandcontributetotheimplementationofactions.
* SoundknowledgeofRFSpectrumconcepts,includingmodulationanddigitalsignalsprocessing(distribution,demodulation),includingSatellitecommunications.

* Reviewcurrentnetworkperformance,capacity,capability,anddeterminingfuturenetworkandserverneeds.
* Staffarerequiredtohaveknowledgeofandcompliancetorelevantlegislativeframeworks,governmentdecision-makingandAustralianSignalsDirectorate'smissionandpolicyrequirements.
