Finance Lead (Temp) Food Manufacturing | Perth
Initial 2 to 3 month temporary contract with potential to transition to permanent
Onsite initially, then flexible hybrid working (1 to 2 days WFH once settled).
A global food manufacturer and supplier is seeking an experienced Finance Lead to oversee site finance operations and guide a small, close knit team. This role is ideal for a hands on finance professional who thrives in a fast paced, highly manual environment and enjoys being a key part of a collaborative leadership team.
About the Role
As the Finance Lead, you will manage the day to day financial operations for the Perth site while leading a Finance and Administration team of six. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, meeting APAC deadlines and supporting the business through a period of manual processes ahead of a planned SAP implementation.
This position requires someone who is organised, adaptable and confident working in a non automated environment where Excel and manual workflows are still heavily relied upon.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a Finance & Admin team of six.
Oversee all finance operations, including month end and year end processes (Year end).
Ensure timely and accurate APAC reporting in a manual, Excel driven environment.
Maintain strong financial controls and support continuous improvement of existing processes.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership and contribute to site level decision making.
Support the business through upcoming systems changes, including preparation for a future SAP implementation.
Manage workload peaks, particularly during month end cycles.
About You
CPA qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience in finance leadership roles.
Strong people management skills with the ability to guide, support and develop a small team.
Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a manual, non automated environment.
Hands on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Collaborative, flexible and sensitive to team dynamics within a close knit site.
Able to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
