About the Role
* Location: Launceston
* Positions available: Security Officer – casual opportunities included
* Full availability preferred
* Roles require a Working With Vulnerability license
* 10‑12 hour shifts available (including nights, weekends and 24/7 coverage)
* Level 1‑2 security roles
Wilson Security is expanding in Tasmania, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence throughout the state. These new roles enhance response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Availability to work 12‑hour shifts, including nights and weekends (24/7 availability)
* Excellent customer service skills
* General security duties, external and internal lock‑ups and more
* Lateral thinking to solve issues that may arise
* Understanding of communication lines and chain of command
* Knowledge of emergency and alarm response protocols, including fire systems
* Protect and maintain the security and integrity of buildings and infrastructure
* Submit electronic or paper incident and hazard reports
* Be well presented and well‑spoken
* Good IT skills
Who We Are Looking For
* Current Tasmanian Security Licence and First Aid Certificate
* Flexibility to work 24/7 rotating rosters
* WWVP Check
* Experience in a healthcare environment (highly desirable)
* Good level of physical fitness
* Ability to work in high‑pressure environments
* Good conflict resolution skills
* Well‑presented and well‑spoken
* Great communication skills
* Full working rights
* Master Licence (18048)
