Role Overview
This role is focused on leading and implementing programs to enhance school attendance, academic performance, and cultural identity among students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and execute program strategies in schools, encompassing planning, coordination, and implementation.
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, community members, and educational institutions.
* Provide transportation services as required.
* Mentor and support First Nation students aged 5-18, delivering workshops, tutoring, and out-of-class assistance.
* Develop and lead life skills and school engagement activities, such as cooking, creative arts, leadership, resume creation, goal setting, and job readiness.
* Implement a healthy food program for participating students.
* Organize physical education activities and traditional games.
* Plan after-school and weekend activities, excursions, and community events.
* Facilitate cultural exchange opportunities between the community, educational institutions, and the organization.
* Develop personalized learning pathway plans for participants.
Requirements
Applicants should possess excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience working with youth, particularly from diverse backgrounds, is highly valued.
